  • U.S. News & World Report's Best Value Colleges - Ranks colleges according to average out-of-pocket costs (accounting for financial aid, etc.), as well as quality of education for the money spent.
  • Peterson's 4-Year Colleges - a comprehensive guide with statistical data (costs, majors, demographics, etc.) for over 2500 colleges, not just the best ones
  • Princeton Review's 300-400 Best Colleges
  • These 3 sources (U.S. News & World Report, Peterson's, Princeton Review) also have other guides that rank schools by major (e.g. best Arts colleges), category (e.g., best Christian colleges), as well as providing other college-related resources (e.g., SAT prep).  They are among the most respected sources for college information
